Why support the Great 100?
Recognition and the receiving of rewards have long been identified as motivators and a source of career satisfaction for nurses. Lack of adequate recognition has been closely associated with job dissatisfaction and high turnover rates. The Great 100 is in the business of recognizing RN excellence and is the only statewide organization that does this in the nation. With nursing enrollment down and additional stress caused by changes in our healthcare system, it is more important than ever to provide positive recognition for our nurses. If you are an employee of nurses, support of the Great 100 improves nursing morale and demonstrates your support of nursing. Even if you do not employ nurses, support of the Great 100 helps to ensure that an adequate supply of nurses will exist in the future. Quality healthcare cannot be delivered without high quality nurses!
