2011 GREAT 100 GALA EVENT

Please join us as we celebrate the 2011 Great 100 recipients at the 23rd annual Great 100 Gala. The Great 100 Gala recognizes 100 nurses from across North Carolina for their outstanding contributions to nursing. This year's black tie Gala will be held at the Koury Convention Center in Greensboro, NC. Registration and cocktails begin at 5:30 P.M.

Speaker: Dennis Sherrod serves as the inaugural Forsyth Medical Center Endowed Chair of Recruitment & Retention and Professor in the Division of Nursing at Winston-Salem State University, Winston-Salem, NC. Dennis served as President of the Center for American Nurses where he developed resources, strategies, and tools to help nurses manage evolving workforce issues and succeed in their careers. In 2003 Dr. Sherrod was selected as one of twenty nurses in the nation as a Robert Wood Johnson Nurse Executive Fellow and he currently serves as President-elect of the Robert Wood Johnson Nurse Executive Alumni Association. Dennis speaks nationally and internationally and brings a common sense approach to nurse recruitment and retention issues.

Music: Virtual Sounds of Faith, N.C. will provide music for your entertainment and dancing will follow.

Photography: Cavin & Stovall Photography will be our photographer for the evening. The recipients’ group photo will be taken at 5:45 p.m. Signage will be posted and board members will be available to direct you to the photo location once at Koury. Please be on time for this photo if you are an award recipient or a scholarship recipient since this is the group photo of the 2011 Great 100 recipients. Individual photos can also be taken immediately after the Gala. Photos will be made available for on-line purchase after the Gala.
