Loretta Wise

I am honored to be the President of the Great 100 Alumni Association for 2011-2012. I am looking forward to doing great work with the Alumni Board in support of scholarships for our future nurses and nurse leaders.

A little about myself, I am retired from Moses Cone Health System, in Greensboro, NC. When I retired in 2008 I was the Director of Nursing at Wesley Long Community Hospital. I became a Great 100 recipient in 2007. My focus has been on the development of nurses and nurse leaders, one nurse at a time. I believe that each interaction with a nurse is an opportunity to impact the development of that nurse.

I have been a nurse for 40 years and have been very fortunate to have had nurse mentors who have encouraged and supported me in pursuing advanced education, certification, and opportunities for promotion. Great 100 recipients have all demonstrated leadership in both their work and communities. As leaders of our current and future nurses, please take this opportunity to support our future through scholarship monies.

Please join the Great 100 Alumni Association by filling out the form on this website.
